Erin - Love Me True Series

I would love to know your story! What has made you who you are today?

Hmmm.... I am a Saskatchewan girl from the centre of Canada miles and miles from the sea. The first time I saw the ocean I fell in love. My Mom told me to follow my heart when I fell in love with my Kiwi man and I did. NZ has been my home for the last 15 years.

I feel most like me when I am barefoot in the sand with messy hair. I have two daughters and I love seeing the world through their eyes. They remind me to be the best version of a person I can be. I think about my favourite memories growing up and feel like I have lived two separate lives.

My sister keeps me grounded. She teaches yoga, has a free loving spirit and a great sense of honour. I love and admire her. I also love my girlfriends. They have always been a big part of my world. Together we have experienced sooooo much. When I think about the people I love, I love them exactly as they are. It would be amazing if everyone could see themselves through the eyes of the people who love them the most.

What made you want to take part in the Love Me True Campaign?

I saw a few Love Me True photographs online and thought "WOW", the woman looked natural and stunning. I had a read through Jessie's bio and decided to email her. She called me and we had a fun chat and ended up laughing and talking about borrowing lingerie. I knew I would feel comfortable with her!

What advice would you offer to other women who are considering taking part in the campaign?

Do it!

What does it mean to love yourself?

Tough question. I would have to say loving yourself is making yourself a priority.  Listening to your intuition and doing the things that make your heart happy. Embracing all of your layers and accepting that bad decisions do not define who you are. Working to be the best version of you and genuinely loving who you are. There is only one of you. ♡

How did you feel during the experience?

The night before the photoshoot, I was extremely nervous. I could not sleep, which is not like me. In the morning I was greeted by Jamie and Jessie and I felt incredibly comfortable with them. They are amazing team and made me feel relaxed and beautiful.

How did this experience impact you? Have you noticed any changes in yourself, be it your self-confidence or anything else since your session?

It was a good reminder that the physical body is always changing. It is just a shell and does not define anything. All of our bodies are unique and that is what makes us beautiful.

What was the best part of the experience?

It was fun to step out of my comfort zone and be in front of the camera.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Your energy is beautiful, your heart is beautiful, you are beautiful inside and out. The most beautiful people I know radiate from their heart.

Last question, would you do it again?

Yes, in a heartbeat.
