Tell us your story!
My story began in the Fiji Islands so many years ago as a child a very light and bright upbringing in the idyllic south pacific, moved to Auckland when I was 16 years old to finish school. A free spirit, I have battled with issues through my twenties, but always realised it was covering up either, a social need, a type of confidence, or following peers. 

20 Years later, I can truly say I have moulded into a confident woman, the real Bel has finally emerged… who has met her true love, has two beautiful children, and am on a journey to becoming a type of natural health healer in massage. I am inspired every day by strong women all around me, - I hope to leave my place in this world, and be remembered for my inner strength and pure heart.

What made you want to take part in the Love Me True Campaign?
As soon as I saw the Love Me True social media post about looking for women who would be interested in a project which uplifted female spirit, connecting to one another, and also sharing our individual journeys and stories there was an instant instinct that I needed to be involved with this amazing group. I believe that every single Woman has a story to tell and a gift to share, and I embrace the fact that we are all wild spirits, just looking to be seen, heard and loved.

What is your favourite physical feature about yourself?
My large, warm, brown eyes

What is your favourite NON physical feature about yourself? (After all, beauty is not only on the inside!)

What does it mean to love yourself?
To be kind, and speak love to yourself as you would to a friend. To have a positive self-image of oneself- to always be conquering the darkness with light, and as you journey through these exciting times improve and strive for the best you can be in this lifetime.

Is there any advice you would like to share with others who struggle to see their own beauty?
We are all humans. We are all sharing such similar emotions. Be compassionate, love yourself, practice self care and always practice gratitude for the small things 

What advice would you offer to other women who are considering taking part in the campaign?
Yes! If you have magically been drawn to this page, and its words speak to your dear heart, don’t deny the fact that you have a beautiful soul and the world needs to see that, and hear it too! By joining other brave women, you too can uplift, inspire, support and learn from each other. Like a sisterhood of amazingness is how I would describe it. 

How did you feel during the experience?
I loved every bit of this experience; it was totally relaxed, fun, uplifting, exciting and most of all empowering. I would do it again If I could, the connection with Jessie was instant- she is so kind and knows how to make a lady feel special, and she made me feel completely and utterly fabulous. Creating a feeling of joyful feminine ambience. Her work is a masterpiece of art.

How did this experience impact you? Have you noticed any changes in yourself, be it your self-confidence or anything else since your session?
I felt I became more confident in accepting the part of me who is brave, outspoken, and confident, and loving that side of me! I wanna be the women who loves herself, has a lot to share with others, and uses her feminine wisdom and skills to help those around her, who may need it. If a little light, love and laughter can shine out from me, and help others I will do that.

What was the best part of the experience?
I think the best part of the whole experience for me, was being made to feel beautiful and stunning- having the gorgeous make up session transform me into a goddess for the afternoon and be able to express my true self through Jessie’s amazing photography made me feel like I was on cloud 9.

Is there anything else you would like to share?
Women are powerful beings of this universe- its amazing to see a platform where we can lift each other up, be confident, and true and shine the light out that we are all connected. A great quote from a favourite celebrity of mine says it all “ Your journey begins with a choice to get up, step out, and live fully”.
